Jersey City Canada Jersey City has been in the licensed retail business for 22 years. The concept was originally rolled out as a franchise of the Forzani Group and remained as such until 1999. At that time two franchisee groups merged to form a new company, Jersey City Canada Inc that in turn bought the name and trademarks from Forzani. Under the new leadership and a strong middle management team, the company has moved from a franchised store base to a successful corporate chain. Since 1999 the company has opened 20 new Jersey City stores and currently operates over 25 stores located across 5 Canadian Provinces.
