Chatters Canada is a franchisor and privately owned 100% Canadian company in its twentieth year of operation. Chatters was founded by Ken Fisher who later merged with Jason Volk, founder of the Green Apple Hair Company. Fisher was a stylist and platform artist with extensive leasing expertise. Volk was skilled in salon business techniques, financial management and advertising/marketing. The combination of their business acumen and salon entrepreneurship was a catalyst for record breaking success in the salon industry. Chatters Salons began in 1988 with a few styling stations and modest retail component. In the 1990's, a beauty trend emerged that saw customers experience a new self awareness which in turn created an increased demand for beauty products and services.
